Pancreatic Disease

Pancreatic conditions span acute pancreatitis to pancreatic cancer with major diagnostic and therapeutic advances. The session covers acute pancreatitis severity scoring and aggressive resuscitation, chronic pancreatitis management including endoscopic and surgical drainage, EUS-guided interventions (drainage of pseudocysts, walled-off necrosis, biliary access), autoimmune pancreatitis IgG4-related disease, ctDNA-based early pancreatic cancer detection (CompCyst, IMMRay PanCan-d, PRECEDE consortium), and PRECEDE familial pancreatic cancer screening. Discussion addresses pancreatic insufficiency management with PERT, the role of cannabis and alcohol in pancreatitis, type 3c diabetes after pancreatitis, lumen-apposing metal stents (Hot Axios), and the surveillance of high-risk individuals.
