GI Imaging
Advanced GI imaging spans CT, MRI, ultrasound and emerging modalities with AI augmentation. The session covers MR enterography in IBD activity assessment, CT colonography as a screening alternative, dual-energy CT in pancreatic disease, MRI in HCC using LI-RADS criteria, contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for liver lesions, intestinal ultrasound for IBD monitoring, and AI applications including polyp detection, IBD severity quantification, and pancreatic-mass characterisation. Discussion addresses photon-counting CT in GI imaging, PET-MRI in GI oncology, elastography (transient, MR, ultrasound) in liver disease, the role of imaging in postoperative complications detection, and emerging molecular imaging targets in GI cancers.
