Eosinophilic Esophagitis
EoE management has shifted dramatically with dupilumab approval and growing recognition of disease heterogeneity. The session covers diagnostic biopsy criteria (≥15 eosinophils per HPF), PPI-responsive EoE phenotyping, dupilumab in adults and paediatrics post-2024 FDA expansion, six-food and four-food elimination diets, esophageal dilation for fibrostenotic disease, emerging biologics targeting IL-5 (mepolizumab, reslizumab, benralizumab) and IL-13 (cendakimab), and the role of biomarkers in monitoring. Discussion addresses long-term durability of dupilumab, the comparison of dietary vs pharmacological remission, EoE in atopic-march patients, transition from pediatric to adult care, and the rising EoE incidence epidemiology globally.
